DESCRIPTION:It was on 2nd day of September in 1960 that the fruit of His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s gift of the excellence of the democratic system of government to the Tibetan people was realized with the establishment of the Tibetan parliament which was made up of elected representatives from all the three provinces as well as the religious orders of Tibet. And so\, on this universal calendar day\, Tibetans mark the anniversary of that momentous occasion.
