Mission
The Tibetan Association of Alberta is a non-profit organization of Tibetans in the province of Alberta with the majority of its members residing in the city of Calgary. It’s mission is to preserve, foster and promote the rich and unique Tibetan culture and heritage not only within the Tibetan community but also with the Canadian community at large under the leadership of His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
About
In 1972, the Tibetan Community of Alberta (TCA) was formed to provide a spiritual and cultural home for the Tibetans living in Alberta. In 1977, the TCA was formally registered and incorporated as a non-profit organization under the Societies Act in the province of Alberta.

60th Anniversary Tibetan National Uprising Day
Please join us in commemorating the 60th Anniversary of the Tibetan National Uprising Day on Sunday, March 10, 2019.
We will gather at the outdoor plaza at City Hall and then march along Stephen Avenue to the Chinese Consulate building.
Please plan to attend as larger participation numbers will help us receive better media coverage to highlight the Tibetan cause.

Location: Outdoor plaza City Hall, 800 McLeod Trail SE, near 9th Avenue
Gathering Time: 9:30 am sharp
9:45 am (Speeches: March 10 statement)
March to Chinese Consulate: 11:00 am (From 8th Ave/Stephen Ave to 9th street to 6 Ave)
Vigil 12:00 pm outside of the Chinese Consulate
End of Rally: 1:30 pm
Participants: If possible, please bring your own signs and placard and Tibetan flags. Please dress appropriately for the weather ie gloves, hats, warm socks and appropriate foot wear
Parents: If you are bringing along young children, we request that you keep a constant check on them to ensure their safety.
